What is the Retired Greyhound Trust?
The Retired Greyhound Trust is a national charity dedicated to finding loving homes for greyhounds who have retired from racing. On average, greyhounds are only aged between four and six when they retire and still have a long life ahead of them, usually living until they are 13 years old.
The Skye Retired Greyhound Trust is one of more than 70 branches that have been set up across the UK. Working together, the RGT nationally has found homes for more than 40,000 of these adorable dogs.

The Skye branch of the retired greyhound trust was set up in May 2002, initially working out of commercial boarding kennels, now with our own kennels which went up in October 2003. Situated in the North west of Skye with stunning views out towards the coral beaches. Our first residents arrived between Christmas and New Year.

We operate a spaying and neutering program. All dogs have their teeth cleaned, are fully vaccinated and have had a full health check before going out to their new homes. Our dogs also come with 6 weeks free insurance. A donation is required to help us carry on with this program.
We are also able to offer microchipping at a competitive rate.
